Plages et ballades
From Mas de Cocody, you can enjoy two complementary atmospheres: the calm of nature around Plan-de-la-Tour and the landscapes of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, between beaches, coves, paths and viewpoints.
This page gathers a few simple ideas for breathing fresh air, walking, swimming, or discovering the region in a different way. It doesn't aim to list everything, but rather to help you choose according to your mood: sea, nature, a short walk, a legendary beach, or a more peaceful spot.
When we have tested or visited a place, we add a review from the house to share a more personal experience with you.
Access conditions, opening hours, parking and visitor numbers may vary depending on the season.
In summer, we advise you to leave early in the morning or at the end of the day to more serenely enjoy the beaches, trails and most famous places in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
Pampelonne is one of the most famous beaches on the Saint-Tropez peninsula. A large beach of light sand, turquoise water, a legendary atmosphere: it's an unmissable outing if you want to experience one of the iconic places of the Gulf.
Why go there?
For a true beach day, between swimming, walking on the sand and the Saint-Tropez atmosphere.
Ideal for:
A day at sea, an early morning departure or a gentler end to the day.
La Madrague is a more discreet beach than the large, very busy beaches of the Gulf. It is well suited to a simple moment, especially early in the morning or at the end of the day.
Why go there?
To enjoy the sea in a calmer atmosphere, without necessarily seeking the hustle and bustle of the big beaches.
Ideal for:
A quiet swim, a short break or a moment for two by the water.
Pointe des Sardinaux is a pleasant natural spot for walking, observing the sea, and enjoying a more rugged atmosphere. With its rocks, Mediterranean vegetation, and views of the Gulf, it's a lovely option for a short stroll.
Why go there?
To discover an accessible Mediterranean landscape, between sea, rocks and vegetation.
Ideal for:
An easy walk, a nature break or a sunset.
The coastal path allows you to walk along the sea and enjoy a different perspective on the Gulf. From the Croisette beach, the walk offers views of the water, the rocks and the coastal landscapes.
Ideal for:
An end-of-day stroll, when the light becomes softer.
The semaphore offers a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the bay and the landscapes around Sainte-Maxime. It's a simple way to gain some altitude and enjoy a more peaceful panorama.
Why go there?
To admire the Gulf from a more unobstructed viewpoint.
Ideal for:
A sunset, a short outing, or a moment for two.
The Domaine du Rayol is a remarkable garden located facing the sea. It offers a variety of Mediterranean landscapes, different plant environments, and a more contemplative way to enjoy the coastline.
Why go there?
For a more structured nature outing, combining garden, sea and exploration.
Ideal for:
Half a day, a calm walk, a contemplative outing or a break away from the hustle and bustle of the seaside.
Plan-de-la-Tour is also a pleasant starting point to enjoy a more discreet nature, between hills, vegetation, quiet roads and landscapes of the hinterland.
Why go there?
To find peace and quiet, walk without necessarily going to the coast and enjoy another side of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
Ideal for:
A cooler morning, a simple walk or a day when you want to stay close to the Mas.
Don't necessarily try to see everything. A well-chosen beach, a short walk, and a return to the Mas can be enough to make a very beautiful day.
The charm of a stay often lies in this balance: setting off to explore, then returning to tranquility. Sea, hills, villages, and nature are all close, but the most enjoyable aspect is experiencing them at a leisurely pace.
